At Your Appointment
You’ve booked an appointment at Bridal Rogue Gallery, now we want to help you understand the process so that you can start looking forward to it!
Your one-on-one consultation
One of our friendly and experienced bridal consultants will help you throughout the appointment, with all of their focus on you! They will talk you through the dresses, explaining a bit about the designers we stock and the feel of each of the collections.
You will be free to browse through all of our wedding gowns and choose any that you wish to try on. If you need a little help with your selection your consultant will be able to offer styling advice, or even pick a few designs for you if you are unsure which dresses will suit you best.
Once you have chosen a few dresses your consultant will help you to try them on in a private changing room. Any guests will be waiting for you in our comfy dress room with a large full length mirror for a big reveal of the dresses.
A little bit about our dresses
In each of our boutiques the collections are a little different, but all of them have a wide variety of styles and shapes. We have dresses to suit classic, vintage and modern brides. Full princess wedding gowns, flattering A-lines, elegant fishtails, 50’s tea lengths and everything in between. There is also a vast array of beautiful fabrics; silk, lace, tulle, beading and much more!
The majority of our dresses in stock range from UK size 8-16, but we can order the dresses in all sizes and are happy to advise plus size brides.
We are also happy to customise any of the dresses so that they are exactly what you are looking for, but more about that on the ‘Fittings & Alterations page.
Made to order, made to measure or ready to wear?
Made to order wedding dresses are styles that we buy from independent design houses such as Pronovias, Eliza Jane Howell, Rosa Clara and several others. When you place an order for a made to order wedding dress we will take your measurements and decide on the closest standard size available. We will then submit your order to the design company and they will begin the process of making your wedding dress. We can offer to customise these dresses and offer fittings in house but any alterations needed will be charged for on top of the dress price.
Made to measure wedding dresses are styles that we make from start to finish in house. When you place an order for a made to measure wedding dress we will need to take extensive measurements to be able to create a pattern that is specific to you. We will then use this pattern to create a mock up of the dress in a plain cotton fabric called calico which will be fitted perfectly to your body. You will be able to discuss any changes to the pattern before we begin to make your wedding dress. Alterations are included in the dress price.
Ready to wear dresses are available to buy off the peg and be taken away the same day if desired. These are often our sample dresses that have been tried on in the boutique and may have slight flaws or faults. This is reflected in the price and they are often heavily discounted. The dresses are sold as seen and will normally need to be taken elsewhere for fittings and alterations, we can recommend an independent seamstress to help you with this. For some of the ready to wear dresses we may be able to offer fittings but this needs to be discussed on an individual basis.
If you find ‘the one’
If you find the perfect dress we will need to take your measurements to decide on the correct sizing for a made to order dress or to be able to make a pattern for a made to measure dress. This will be discussed with you, taking into account any weight plans or possible fluctuations. We will also talk about the different options available for your dress, such as fabrics and colours, or if you would like to make any changes to the design.
At this stage we normally ask for a 50% non refundable deposit* before we are able to place your order. The balance will not be due until your first dress fitting where any necessary charges for alterations will also be applied.
We will then keep in touch to update you on the arrival of your dress, and when the time comes, to arrange your appointments for wedding dress fittings.
*If you buy a ready to wear dress off the peg we will require the payment in full so that the dress can be taken off the shop floor.
